Feng Shui 101
That is where the ancient art of Feng Shui comes in. For thousands of years, the Chinese have used Feng Shui to bring harmony into one's life by balancing the various energy sources (chi or Qi). Some energy sources are universal, some are derived from the planterary positions the moment you were born, and other energies are derived from the earth's elements. Feng Shui recognizes two basic energies, yin and yang, the study of opposites. Yin is the female energy, yang the male. For more examples and explanation, click here. In addition, Feng Shui recognizes five basic elements: water, wood, fire, earth, and metal. It is commonly held that individuals, themselves, hold aspects of these elements, and these characteristics drive them in daily decision-making and overall problem solving. It is the balancing of these five elements that brings harmony in your environment. For more information, see the 5 elements link. Another essential part of Feng Shui is the Bagua, an internal map of your environment, which assigns nine life-aspects to nine specific areas of your home or workspace. The five elements also are part of the Bagua map. To see the basic Bagua map, click the Bagua link. Note: These concepts are just a rudimentary introduction to Feng Shui, not a comprehensive study, which takes much more work and study! How does this interface with The Passion Test? That is exactly what the Design From Your Soul is all about! It asks you to look at your environment with a fresh viewpoint. Does your home or work reflect your newly found passions and the subsequent values that accompany them? How can you use the power of "fire" or the calming of "water" to help you manifest your passions? Click the Design From Your Soul link below and find out!
